March 29th!
Colt's story has been years in the making. We first met him as a teenager trying to make it on his own in Coming Home, part of my Firsts & Forever Series. Then we watched his heart get broken when his relationship with Elijah ended. He's all grown up now and about to find the love of his life. Starting Over is coming soon!

Starting Over is coming soon!
I'm so happy to announce that Colt's book, Starting Over, is getting close to completion! I'm planning to publish it at the end of March, exact date TBA. I won't be doing a pre-order. Instead, I plan on uploading it to Amazon the moment it's complete. I'll post here and on social media as soon as it's live.
We first met Colt all the way back in Coming Home, book 9 of my Firsts and Forever Series, so his happily ever after has been a long time coming.
Here's the cover and blurb:
We first met Colt all the way back in Coming Home, book 9 of my Firsts and Forever Series, so his happily ever after has been a long time coming.
Here's the cover and blurb:
Colt Matthews is trying to find his way in the world.
His friends are getting married, finding rewarding careers, and
moving forward with their lives. Meanwhile, twenty-one-year-old Colt’s still trying
to figure out who he is and what he wants out of life. About the only thing he
knows for sure is that he’s undeniably drawn to his friend Ren, despite their
age difference. But what are the chances Ren feels the same way?
Renaldo Medina is trying to get his life back on track.
He had everything for a while: a wildly successful company,
a famous boyfriend, a life most people would envy. Then it all fell apart and
left him reeling, and he’s been stalled out ever since. But when he strikes up
an unlikely friendship with a beautiful younger man, Ren starts to feel
something he thought he’d lost forever: hope.
Can two lost men find their way together? Or will their
generation-wide age gap and the ghosts of their past prove to be more than they
can overcome?

Happy New Year!
I hope 2019 is off to a good start for you! I'm beginning the year by writing Colt's story, which will be book #2 in the Castaways Series. It picks up right where Making Merry left off. I'm planning to publish it in March, and the cover and title reveals will be happening in the next few weeks, so stay tuned!
After that, I'm planning to write Beck's story. Those of you who've followed me into the Castaways Series will recall him as the kind, handsome guy who's always doing things for other people, including running Seahorse Ranch for his uncle. I have a wonderful HEA planned for the mysterious Beck!
I haven't decided who'll get the book after that. There are several characters who are primed for stories, and it just depends on who's speaking the loudest when Beck's book is done. One option is to write a novella for Rick and Ryan, my couple in the Heart2Heart charity anthology.
Speaking of Heart2Heart, that book goes away forever on or around February 10th. If you haven't bought a copy, I highly suggest you pick one up. It contains 17 original stories by some wonderful MM romance authors, and every penny of the profits goes to three terrific LGBTQ+ charities. Do something good and get something good in return: win-win!
I hope 2019 is a wonderful year for you, and I look forward to bringing you lots of new books in the months ahead! xx

It's my 6 year anniversary!
Six years ago today, I independently published a book called Way Off Plan. It was terrifying to put my work out there, and I went in without a clue about the business of bookselling. I just knew I had stories I wanted -- and needed -- to write, so I took a chance.
And then this amazing thing happened. Readers found my book, and they wanted more. Way Off Plan began a successful series that lives on to this day. In fact, I just published a collection of holiday stories with characters from the Firsts and Forever Series and its new spin-off, the Castaways Series. I'm beyond grateful for its longevity.
So much has happened over the past six years, both good and bad. On the plus side, my son has grown from a little 5th grader to a 15-year-old high school sophomore, and he's such an amazing young man. Also, I've published 23 books so far, and there are more to come!! Less positive, and something I don't discuss very often, is the constant chronic pain that's been chipping away at my mobility. I worry about what that'll mean for me down the road. And my 20-year marriage ended unexpectedly just a few months after I published that first book, so writing went from a hobby to my full-time job literally overnight.
It's so much more than a job, though. Writing has been my therapy, my safe place, and my sanity saver. No matter what's going on in my life, I can open my laptop and step into the world I began building six years ago, which has been growing and evolving ever since. The characters feel like family after all this time, and they mean so much to me.
So do my readers. I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am for you. Whether you've been a part of this journey for six years, a few days, or something in between, thank you. I want you to know I appreciate you, and I look forward to bringing you many more stories about love in the years ahead.

Making Merry is Live!
I'm so happy to announce that Making Merry is live on both Amazon and Smashwords!
Here's the blurb:
What do the husband of a stressed out metal sculptor, a graffiti artist, an aging pop star, a young ranch hand, and an aspiring writer have in common?
They each have a story to tell in Making Merry.
Not everything goes according to plan in the quest for that mythical “Perfect Christmas”, but there are a lot of laughs, heartwarming romance, and some big surprises along the way. With the help of family and friends, somehow everything will work itself out – but maybe not in the way anyone was expecting.
These five interconnected holiday stories feature favorite characters from Alexa Land’s Firsts and Forever Series and its new spin-off, The Castaways Series. It’s approximately 50K in length, and while it can be read as a stand-alone, it’ll mean the most to readers familiar with the series.
The paperback has been uploaded to Amazon, and it should go live soon.
